Earlier this year I left my salaried job to pursue full-time education in user experience design. Months before leaving my job, I collaborated with mentors from different UX agencies to develop a lesson plan, book list, and timeline for my studies. I weighed out the options of graduate school, bootcamps, and self-education, and decided on a hybrid approach. I paired my lesson plan with the General Assembly UX course and dived in. I completed the General Assembly course and most of the books and articles on my lesson plan, but I don't foresee my self-education agenda ending anytime soon. Below is a sample of some of the books I included in my lesson plan.
