I am an avid surfer and longtime user of the surf forecasting app, Surfline. I think that Surfline is one of the best apps on the market for viewing surf conditions, however I also found that I kept seeing areas for improvement in the app. I decided to take on a side-project of designing a mobile app for surfers - taking my favorite features and restructuring them, organizing the information to how I saw made sense, and added in some new features that I thought would be of value for those surfers in mind.

In one weeks time, I analyzed four different surf forecasting apps, sketched multiple iterations on paper, converted my sketches to digital files, mocked-up an iOS and android version, and created an interactive prototype with Flinto.
