I left my salaried job to pursue full-time education in user experience design. Months before leaving my job, I collaborated with mentors from different UX agencies to develop a lesson plan, reading list, and timeline for my studies. I weighed out the options of graduate school, bootcamps, and self-education, and ultimately decided on a hybrid approach. I paired the lesson plan I created with the General Assembly UX course and dived in. I completed the General Assembly course and the books and articles on my lesson plan, but I don't foresee my self-education agenda ending anytime soon.
